Episode four of all-new podcast takes a look at the minds truly powering the automotive industry

Welcome to episode four of the all-new, five-part Autocar Business Power List 100 Podcast, produced in partnership with automotive experience platform Keyloop.

The annual Power List 100 details all the achievements of the major movers and shakers in the automotive industry, ranking the top 100 most influential people based on the following criteria: global reach and influence, spending power, share of voice, technological influence, future growth potential and market capitalisation.

Each episode of the podcast will welcome an industry expert to explore and discuss some of the biggest names, companies and topics outlined in the Power List – offering exclusive insight into the people truly reshaping the automotive landscape.

In episode four, Autocar news editor Felix Page sits down with Autocar Business correspondent Nick Gibbs and Keyloop VP sales, Ireland and APAC Graham Stokes to discuss the movements of, and challenges faced by, some of the top automotive designers and engineers – including why, in a world of platform sharing, car design and brand identity is more important than ever, the engineering hurdles posed by relentless cost saving, and how the outsourcing of software development could change the face of automotive manufacturing.

We also talk about Gerry McGovern's role in JLR's future, how Kia and Hyundai have been changing the game for car design, and the Tesla Cybertruck. To hear all this and more, listen to episode four below.

The Autocar Business Power List 100 Podcast is essential listening for all industry professionals with an interest in the future of automotive. To listen now, subscribe to our podcast via Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
