Lexus will introduce a new EV in 2026
Friday, Sep 22, 2023 9:44 PM

Lexus has been slow to adopt battery electric vehicles, since it currently only offers the RZ electric crossover in the US. Well that’s about to change, since Lexus has announced that it will introduce a new EV in 2026 that will be based on a new modular platform.

2023 Lexus RZ Review

Lexus will give us a preview of what the new EV might look like with a new concept that will debut at the Japan Mobility Show in October. We don’t have a lot of details about the brand’s new EVs yet, but Lexus says that the current driving experience of its ICE models will be “carried forward and taken to an even higher level with Lexus’s BEV and electrification technology program.”

“Lexus will continue to pursue a natural dialogue between driver and car that evokes the joy of driving.”

The new EVs will also have a focus on sustainability with the use of recycled and man-made materials. We’ll have all the details about the new concept on October 25.
