Another Honda EV concept will debut at the Geneva Motor Show this year and we’re happy to report it will be just as adorable as the Honda Urban EV and Honda Sports EV.

The Japanese automaker released an image of the new concept EV today, revealing a front end that is nearly identical to the Urban EV and Sports EV. Just like those two, this concept has circular LED headlights, a black design element on the hood and cameras in place of traditional side view mirrors.

If you look closely at the left-hand side of the dash, you can also see an upward notch that then extends across the cabin. This is likely an indication of a widescreen display similar to the Urban EV’s. This concept also has traditional seats instead of the Urban EV’s radically retro bench seat.

“Honda’s new electric vehicle is developed with a focus on functionality and purpose and the prototype sketch demonstrates this through its clean, simple and unique design,” the automaker said in a statement. “The image highlights a clear link to Honda’s Urban EV Concept initially shown at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. ”

Urban EV Concept

Honda has already shown design studies for an electric hatchback and sports car, so this prototype could introduce a new bodystyle to the growing Honda EV family. A crossover would be the logical next step and the design study above does appear to have more ground clearance than the Urban EV. This may also represent a more production-ready version of the Urban EV, which is slated to go on sale in Europe later this year.

Honda’s press release indicated that a version of the prototype pictured here would be on sale before the end of the year as well. It will ride on a new dedicated architecture that will underpin all of Honda’s future EVs.
